South Beach (Pwllheli)

Abererch Beach (Pwllheli)

4 mile stretch from Gimlet Rock to small headland separating it from Llanbedrog Beach. Mainly shale, however more sand has appeared over the last couple of years.South Beach, looking over the bay to Abersoch
Fairly Steep; Large dumping waves most times.

A sandy beach towards the Pwllheli end. More shale towards Haven. Pwllheli end is very flat at low tide. Opposite Harbour Channel.
Length: 3 miles; Steep upper beach, flatter bottom towards Pwllheli; rougher further towards Haven.Abererch Beach

Llanbedrog

Abersoch

"Calmest Bay in Wales". Shallow beach village end. Sand decreases further away from village end. Very small waves.Houses on Beach at Llanbedrog

Two beaches: Harbour and Main. Both sandy, and fairly shallow at low tide. Main can be rougher than Harbour, river runs down Harbour Beach.Harbour Beach, Abersoch

Porth Neigwl/Hell's Mouth

Nefyn & Morfa Nefyn

"Roughest Bay in Wales"

2 separate beaches. Both fairly sandy, flat, conditions can vary - can be calm or rough. Porth Dinllaen to west of Morfa Nefyn, on end of beach.
The Beach at Morfa Nefyn

Pwllheli is the unofficial capital town of the Llyn Peninsula and the district of Dwyfor. The district offices are based in Pwllheli as well as most of the other shops, and businesses.

Pwllheli has a strong welsh culture, over 60% of the local population speak welsh. 

The scenery around Pwllheli is magnificent, Snowdonia and much of the coastline of Cardigan Bay are visible on a clear day.
